The Samuel Family

On Thursday, Kevin's Dad and his Dad's girlfriend, Annette, came to visit us. It was their first time meeting Lucas. Because the weather was not cooperative, we were limited on things to do, but I think Grandpa Dave and Nana were pretty content spending time with their grandson and also with Kevin. They gave Lucas his first set of camo and also his first mount on the wall. It was pretty cute. It was really nice to have a long weekend with them and we look forward to our visit in November.

On another note, Lucas is still gaining weight, but much slower this week. We weighed him on Friday and he was 11.8lbs. So, he gained 0.3lbs this week. Not the big numbers like we are used to, but still going in the right direction. He has also started blowing out of his diapers. He had four in the last four days! This make for a lot more laundry and bath times! Other than that, he is still only getting up once over night (4-6 hour stretches between feedings at night) and eating every 2-3 hours during the day.

Tomorrow is my first day back at work. I am super sad that my maternity leave is over. We are blessed to have worked it out so that Lucas does not have to go into day care. Kevin has been steadily working the last month or so. We are hoping it stays that way, but you just never know. We will just plan for the worst and hope for the best!
