Busy

Whew....what a busy month of May! This has probably been the longest I have gone without updating my blog. I am surprised I haven't had any nagging from my sister or Dad to update it. Just kidding! :) After Mother's Day, we went to Boise for my sister's graduation ceremony from Boise State. While we were there we stayed with my good friend, Jen, who hosted a fun after party for Kim. It was in the high 70's in Boise and ever since then, it has been COLD! Where is summer??? Anyway, after we got home, Kim moved in with us. I am so happy to have a built in Nanny now. That is, when she isn't on vacation! Still, the help is so nice. Thanks Kim!! The weekend after Boise, we had a big graduation celebration for her at McMenamins. We had such a good time and even embarrassed her with a slide show (and I even slipped in some of the "awkward" stages).

Last weekend we dedicated to working in the yard. Of course, it did rain, so we worked here and there, but we got a lot done in the front yard and it looks so good. Our next project is finishing the back yard. For those that haven't been here, we have a long strip of back yard that is just full of weeks. Hopefully soon, we will have grass back there and it will be usable!

June is now here and I have one more client who is due. I am hoping that this one is a "normal" delivery and if it is, I can finally become certified. After that I will be taking a little break from my Doula work until October. We have a busy summer schedule and Kevin hunts in September. Being on call during that month is STRESSFUL! So, I will not put myself through that again.

My Uncle Matt comes home from Afghanistan on Saturday. He spent the last year over there and our family is so happy he is coming home alive and safe. We will be having a Brand family reunion in July and it will be great to see him and his family again. Thank you Uncle Matt for sacrificing so much for our country. We love ya!
