Sunday was my 30th birthday. I have always dreaded turning 30, as it always seemed so "old" to me. My 20's were filled with college, personal growth, lots of moving, love, traveling, change, goodbyes, marriage, and my first child. So much in 10 years.....how are my 30's ever going to compare? Well, in reality, as the years went on and I got closer and closer to my 30th birthday, I started to embrace what was to come. All the wise people in my life told me that your 30's are better than your 20's and your 40's are better than your 30's, etc. So, if this is true, it must just get better with time.
On Friday, my sister took me out to Eat Pray Love after I got off work for my birthday. We had been wanting to see this movie for some time, so it was a good opportunity to go. When we got back, I came inside the house to a large group of my friends and family yelling "SURPRISE!" Yep, I was surprised alright, and a little in shock at first too. It was a great party and I have the most wonderful friends and family in the world. Thank you for making my birthday so special!
