Well it appears that my boys like to come into this world early. On Monday I started to have contractions pretty regularly for a few hours. I called the on-call Dr. and he told me to come to the hospital. They put me on a few meds to try and stop labor and I continued contracting through them. My cervix was changing and my Dr. thought I would probably go into labor within the next 48 hours. However, on Wednesday my body started to cooperate and I have been pretty stable since. They are going to keep me here until Monday (35 weeks). Then, if everything is good, I may get to go home on bed rest.
It is hard to be away from Lucas and stuck in bed, but I will do whatever I need to to avoid another NICU baby. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family here to support us and help with Lucas. Just taking it day by day for now.
