My mother, Janet Brand, died yesterday. She had a blood vessel rupture in her brain and was not able to make it through. Our family is in shock and in grief. She was such an amazing person. We now understand why Lucas was born so early. Her grandchildren, Lucas and Owen, were her pride and joy. She was not scared to die and looked forward to going to heaven. She is now in peace and with her Mother, her niece, and her daughter.
Please pray for peace, comfort, and health for our family as we cope with her loss.

Gina: Birthing & Beyond (with your dad's blessing)will be organizing a scholarship fund in Janet's name.I would like it to be childbirth education related but need some input from you and your sibs as to how to best organize it. My idea is to use it for scholarships for women who are interested in being certified as a chlidbirth educator,or doula,or we could have an annual lecture (birth related) as a memorial or?? Maybe we can get together and talk about it soon.
