Lucas also has been very interested in animals and the sounds they make. One of the sounds he likes to mimic is the lion's roar. This isn't the best video of his interpretation, but pretty funny still.
Toddlerhood is here. I thought it would come when Lucas started to walk, but I was wrong. First of all, Lucas has NO desire to walk. Every time I try and get him to walk to me, he refuses and just gets down and crawls over. He has learned that he can get from one place to another much faster if he just crawls there. He is still so wiggly, he won't even stand in one place for very long. This kid is everywhere. On top of that, he has started to skip some of his naps. This has been the most frustrating for me. I NEED those naps. I have been very fortunate up until now because Lucas has always been a great sleeper. He still sleeps 11-12 hours at night, but I am not ready to go to one nap a day. NOT READY at all. Another new thing....tantrums. Oh those are just so fun. I can't help but laugh though. It is as if the world is going to end if you take something away from him, or if he sees something he wants, but can't have. Wow! Overall though, I love watching him learn, read books, jibber jabber, and seeing his personality develop. He is still full of smiles and giggles (the most ticklish kid I know) and I love every minute of it.
OMG! The Camelback thing = HILARIOUS!!! :D LOVE it! :) Kellen totally needs one of those! And I hear ya about those tantrums & cutting out naps.. UGH! It just keeps gettin' better :) I strongly suggest NOT pushing the walking! Keep him crawling as long as possible! HAHA!! They find so much more trouble when they start walking! :)
