Well, it looks like I will be discharged tomorrow sometime. Life in the hospital has been super busy. Between our time with Lucas in the NICU (we are on a three hour feeding/skin to skin schedule) and pumping every three hours as well, it has made it hard to have visitors all the time. So, I apologize if I have not been able to schedule a time for a visit. Since my life will pretty much be at the hospital for the next two to three weeks, if any of you want to meet Lucas, you can always come with me or meet me here as long as you are HEALTHY! If you are sick or have been in close contact with anyone with has been sick, unfortunately, you will not be able to come to the NICU.

Lucas has been doing wonderful. They took him off the IV today and will be supplementing my breast milk through a feeding tube through his nose until he can get the recommended amount of food from me after my milk comes in. This will also make him very sleepy and he may not want to latch on and feed for the first week. They said this is only temporary though. So, it will be important for me to have my skin to skin time with him and continue to pump to supply his food.

Much love to everyone.....Gina
