Lucas snoozing in his new "isolet".
He did really great last night. We got a call from the NICU nurse around 2:00am. She told us he was pretty fussy and he might be ready for a feeding. We went down and sure enough he was able to suckle for a little while and he even ate a little. I am proud of our little "bug" as Gina calls him.
Gina and I really look at this whole experience as a blessing from God in many ways. If she hadn't been contracting last Monday we wouldn't have come in to get checked, and we wouldn't have known that his little heart was slowing down (dangerously low) when she was in certain positions. We can't wait to get Lucas home and start working on getting a new schedule started and for me at least, getting back to work.
Gina is going to stay with her Grandpa here in Bend until Lucas can be released from the NICU. It will make things easier if she doesn't have to be in Redmond.
Thanks again for your love, support and prayers.
Glad all is well. You all had quite a time. An Aquarian great nephew. Gina your quite the lady through all this. I see why Kevin is so proud of you. Good Job you two.
